Vineyard Pumpkin Cookies
With Halloween behind us, it’s time to dive into Thanksgiving full swing! At least for a minute, because I am anxious to get into the Christmas season. What about you?
These vineyard pumpkin cookies were inspired by all the beautiful Fall decor I have been seeing in stores, magazines, and other people front porches. I love the look of beautiful, rustic pumpkins surrounded by berry covered vines.
And of course I thought it would easily translate into a cookie!
What you Will Need
Because these are pumpkin shaped cookies, I made my pumpkin spice latte cookie dough to make these delicious cookies. If you don’t like the latte part, you can just make a plain pumpkin spice cookie or classic sugar cookie.
One batch of cookie dough will make about 18-24 cookies.
You will also need a batch of royal icing, which is enough to cover 18-24 cookies. For the royal icing, you will need:
Icing in flood consistency in orange, yellow, and green.
Icing in piping consistency in brown, maroon, orange, and yellow
It would also be helpful to have:
Piping bags or sandwich bags
Paint brushes (only used on food)
Clear alcohol (vodka, everclear) or almond extract
Piping tips in round shape, #2, #4, #5, etc.
Scribe tool or toothpicks
